Thank you for your interest in this page and for taking the time to learn about my knives and the legacy beginning. I've been intrigued by knives for as long as I can remember. My first knife was a stainless multi-tool given to me by my grandfather around age 7 and I still have this knife today. Since then I've had a knife on me everyday (except for of course in grade school, cause that is apparently frowned upon these days). When I was 8 years old (1997) my father took me on a weekend Appalachian Trail backpacking trip where a knife is paramount for the camp and for a boy to make spears to go fishing in the nearby creek! Since then I've been on countless backpacking, camping, canoeing, fishing, and hunting trips. I have been involved with Boy Scouts since Tiger Cubs, earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and now volunteer as Scout Master for my son's Troop.
While in college I set a goal of bringing my own blade designs to life. I really had no knowledge of the knife industry beyond the cheap folders I carried as a kid and fixed blades I had for camping that included my Dad's K-Bar from when he was a kid! My future wife gave me a Nitrous Stryker Benchmade in 2008 which is my EDC still today. This knife cemented my need to create my own blades. I did not have the equipment or time really in college or when I began working, so I purchased a few knives from Gene Martin of Provision Forge and finished them out sanding the blade, building the handle and sheath.
In 2017 I opened my own knife shop! I've learned a lot about the knife industry since then, and I will never stop searching, reading, you-tubing, and learning about knives! I hope one day my blades are looked to as benchmarks in the industry.
